Configure a parameter to show the Critical values setting

Before staff can record the critical values of a parameter, a practice manager must configure the parameter to show the Critical values setting. Staff can use the Critical values setting to select the minimum and maximum values of a parameter.

Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions.

To configure a parameter, do this procedure.

Note: You cannot use the SmartFlow iPad app to do this procedure. You must use the SmartFlow web app.

Note: Medication parameters and fluid parameters cannot show the Critical values setting.

Select the user account button.
SmartFlow shows more settings.
Select SETTINGS.
SmartFlow shows a General screen.
In the TEMPLATES AND FORMS section, select Parameters.
SmartFlow shows the Parameters screen.
Select the pencil button of the applicable parameter.
SmartFlow shows the Edit parameter dialog box.
In the Picker type box, select Numeric.
Select Update.

The parameter has the applicable configuration. When staff add the parameter to a flowsheet, the settings of the parameter show the Critical values setting:
