SmartFlow permissions roles

A SmartFlow permissions role is a set of user account permissions. The set of user account permissions is usually related to the work that a staff member does.

You use a permissions role to give a staff member access to different feature and functions of SmartFlow. The access that you give is applicable to the work that the staff member does.

SmartFlow has six permissions roles with these names:
  • Level 6
  • Level 5
  • Level 4
  • Level 3
  • Level 2
  • Level 1

This table shows each permissions role and the administration tasks that each a user account with the permissions role can do:

Level 6User accounts with a permissions role of Level 6 can:
  • Get access and make changes to their user account information
  • Make changes to system settings
  • Get access to information of discharged patients
  • Use SmartFlow analytics
Level 5User accounts with permissions roles of Level 5 thru Level 1 can:
  • Get access to their user account information
  • Get access to information of discharged patients
    Note: Changes to the information is not possible with permissions roles of Level 5 thru Level 1.

  • Make changes to patient information
  • Get access to flowsheets
  • Schedule, remove, record, and make changes to treatments
  • Schedule, remove, record, and make changes to tasks
  • Make, remove, and make changes to notes
  • Record a patient's IV catheter information
  • Save and make changes to templates
  • Add 24 hours to a patient's flowsheet
  • Discharge patients
  • Make and get access to estimates

Level 3User accounts with permissions roles of Level 3 can:
  • Admit patients
  • Make changes to patient information
  • Get access to flowsheets
  • Record treatments
  • Record tasks
  • Make, remove, and make changes to notes
  • Record a patient's IV catheter information
  • Discharge patients
Level 2User accounts with permissions roles of Level 2 can:
  • Admit patients
  • Make changes to patient information
  • Get access to flowsheets
  • Record treatments
  • Record tasks
  • Make, remove, and make changes to notes
  • Discharge patients
Level 1User accounts with permissions roles of Level 1 can:
  • Admit patients
  • Make changes to patient information
  • Get access to flowsheets
  • Record tasks
  • Make, remove, and make changes to notes
  • Discharge patients
