Schedule an Advanced Fluids treatment

After you schedule an Advanced Fluids treatment, other staff can know which treatments to do for a patient at the correct times.

To know about settings for Advanced Fluids treatments, refer to Advanced Fluids treatment settings.

To schedule an Advanced Fluids treatment, do this procedure.

Note: To do manual calculations with more than one fluid treatment, use SmartFlow's general fluid treatment feature.

Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
Select the applicable patient card.
SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
In the ADV FLUIDS section, select the + button.
SmartFlow shows an Add Fluid treatment dialog box.
Use the Name box to enter or select the name of a fluid treatment.
Select Add.
SmartFlow shows settings for the treatment.
Make settings as necessary.
Select Continue.

The patient's flowsheet has an Advanced Fluids treatment.

Note: After staff complete a task for the scheduled treatment, you cannot make changes to the treatment settings that cause a change in fluid rate.
