Add a note to a treatment task (iPad method)

You can use a treatment task note to record general information about a patient's medical care.

Make sure that you know the correct format to use for treatment task notes. For more information, refer to Treatment task text (staff initials or clinical information).
To add a note, do this procedure.
  1. Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
  2. Select the applicable patient card.
    SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
  3. Select the applicable treatment task.

    SmartFlow shows a dialog box.
  4. Enter more than one word and make sure to use spaces between each word.
    Note: If you enter only one word, SmartFlow senses the one word as staff initials.
    If a practice manager configured SmartFlow to automatically add the specified treatment to the client's invoice, go to step 5 . If a practice manager did do the configuration, the procedure is completed and you can ignore step 5.
  5. Select Yes or No as necessary.

    Note: If you want SmartFlow to add treatment information to the applicable invoice, select Yes. If you do not want SmartFlow to add treatment information to the applicable invoice, select No.
The treatment task has the note. And the Notes dialog box of the patient's flowsheet and the Notes report show the note.
