You can temporarily stop a patient's Advanced Fluids treatment. Then, you can schedule it to start at a different time if necessary. For example, if you need to move a patient to a different location, you can stop their fluid treatment, then start it again at the new location.

1. Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
2. Select the applicable patient card.
   SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
3. Right-click the applicable Advanced Fluids treatment task for the time that you want to stop the treatment.
   Note: You can select the
   SmartFlow shows an Execute task dialog box.
4. Select Pause.
   
   SmartFlow shows a Pause treatment dialog box.
5. In the Initials box, enter your initials.
   
6. Select Confirm.
   

1. SmartFlow removes scheduled treatment tasks that are not completed from the patient's flowsheet.
2. The flowsheet has a black rectangle to identify that the treatment stopped.
