Removal of multi-device management (MDM) software from iPads

After October 31, 2025, IDEXX will start to remove MDM software from customer iPads. The removal step include a factory reset of your iPads. If you have an iPad with MDM software, it is important to prepare for MDM software removal.

Warning: If you do not prepare for the removal of MDM software, permanent removal of important data will occur.

After IDEXX removes MDM software from your iPads, you can make decisions about when to install new versions of SmartFlow.

This table gives each step in the removal of MDM software and applicable documentation:

3Save important information from your iPads to the cloud. Examples of information to save are:
  • Photos and videos that are not saved in SmartFlow
  • Documents and reports that are not saved in SmartFlow
  • Browser bookmarks and downloaded files
