iOS version 17.7.0: iPad user interface changes

Great news for SmartFlow users! The iPad app has some key improvements to save you time and help you find what you need faster, no matter where you are in the app.

New features include:
  • Improved navigation buttons
  • One-click creation of anesthetic sheets and dental charts
  • A dedicated flowsheet editing menu for faster template and treatment management
  • Clearer in-app connection status, ensuring you're always aware and in control of your workflow

Improved navigation buttons

SmartFlow has consistent navigation buttons for flowsheets, anesthetic sheets, dental charts, and forms, ensuring that:
  • You can move between all core sheets from any screen. No more digging through menus!
  • New staff and floaters can quickly adapt, as the navigation stays predictable
  • You always know when you are making changes due to clear separation of navigation buttons and editing buttons

Easier anesthetic sheet and dental chart creation

The Dental and Anesthetic icons are dark gray with a plus sign (+) when the applicable patient has no active sheet. Select a button with a plus sign (+) to easily make a dental chart or anesthetic sheet.

Dedicated edit menu

When you select the Edit button, SmartFlow shows options to make changes to the sheet. This makes it easy to add templates, treatments, or workflows with minimal effort.

Improved edit mode

Edit flowsheets easier than ever with the improvements to edit mode. Select one or more parameters or tasks, then use the buttons at the top of the screen to make changes.

Improved connection status banners

The navigation bar now prominently displays your real-time connection status, reducing uncertainty and ensuring you're aware of your iPad's connection to SmartFlow before proceeding with time-sensitive tasks.

The two new banners are:
  • The offline mode banner
  • The slow connection banner
