Configure a medication for billing in international units
If your organization uses international units (IU) for billing and dosage for a medication, you must configure the applicable parameter for the medication.
- Select the user account button.SmartFlow shows more settings.
- Select SETTINGS.SmartFlow shows a General screen.
- In the TEMPLATES AND FORMS section, select Parameters.SmartFlow shows a Parameters screen.
- Select the pencil button of the applicable parameter.SmartFlow shows an Edit parameter dialog box.
- Set the Concentration boxes to 1 IU / IU.
Note: When you add the medication to a patient's flowsheet, do not change the dosage unit from IU. If you do, SmartFlow does not calculate the total dose.
