About patient resuscitation statuses
The resuscitation status tells other staff if they must resuscitate a patient. It is important that you know about the difference resuscitation statuses.
SmartFlow has three resuscitation statuses:
These are meant to differentiate between patients who need to receive very invasive interventions in the event of a life-threatening emergency and those who should only receive typical interventions or no intervention at all.
Note: When you add a patient to SmartFlow, SmartFlow automatically shows BLS.
SmartFlow shows a patient's resuscitation status:
- On their patient card on whiteboards
- On the patient information area of a flowsheet
