You can set the unit of measurement for a medication that a flowsheet shows to one that is applicable to how your practice operates. For example, if dosage information is necessary for constant rate infusions, you can set the unit to Dosage. Other available units are Total (mg), and Total (ml).

1. Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
2. Select the applicable patient card.
   SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
3. Select the plus button that is adjacent to MEDICATION.
   
   SmartFlow shows the Add Medication dialog box.
4. In the Name box, find and select the applicable medication.
   
5. Select Add.
   
6. Use Show on flowsheet to select the applicable unit of measurement.
   
   Note: If you use the SmartFlow iPad app, SmartFlow shows the Display setting.
7. Select Done.
