Methods to change many treatments in a flowsheet

In a flowsheet, you can use different methods to change many treatments in a patient's flowsheet for different causes. For example, if a patient must have emergency surgery, it is necessary to change all their treatments.

To change many treatments in a flowsheet, use one of the buttons adjacent to a patient's flowsheet:

ProblemSolution
A patient's flowsheet has the wrong set of treatments.

Example: A patient needs emergency surgery. Thus, it is necessary to stop all of their current treatments and start new treatments.

Use the CHANGE TEMPLATE button to change all the treatments of the flowsheet ot the treatments of a treatment template.
Note: If you change the template, SmartFlow removes all treatments from the previous template.
It is necessary to do a new set of treatments for a patient.

Example: A patient needs emergency surgery. Thus, it is necessary to stop all of their current treatments and start new treatments.

Use the ADD WORKFLOW button to do one of the two options:
  • Add tasks to the end of the current workflow
  • Remove tasks from the current workflow and add new tasks
A patient must have a new set of treatments, plus all of their current treatments.

Example: A patient has diabetes. You want to add a set of treatments for diabetes. But you do not want to remove the patient's current treatments.

Use the ADD TREATMENTS button to add all of the treatment of a treatment template to the flowsheet. You can do one of the two options:
  • Merge treatments to prevent many of the same parameters on the flowsheet
  • Add treatments to possibly have many of the same parameters on the flowsheet
