Removal of IDEXX mobile-device management (MDM) software from iPads

Before September 30, 2026, IDEXX customer support will remove MDM software from customer iPads. The removal includes a factory reset of your iPads. If you have an iPad with IDEXX MDM software, it is important to prepare for MDM software removal.

Warning: If you do not prepare for the removal of MDM software, permanent removal of important data will occur.

After IDEXX customer support removes MDM software from your iPads, you can make decisions about when to install new versions of SmartFlow.

Note: If some of your iPads have not had a network connection in the last 90 days, do not connect them to the network. The MDM software will be removed automatically.

Steps to check whether your iPads have IDEXX MDM software

Important: If your iPads do not have IDEXX MDM software, do not schedule MDM software removal.
To check whether your iPads have IDEXX MDM software:
  1. Open the iPad Settings app.
  2. Select General.
  3. Select VPN & Device Management.

If the list shows an IDEXX management profile, the iPad has IDEXX MDM software.
