Stop a treatment

After you stop a treatment, the flowsheet shows the completed treatment tasks, but staff cannot complete more treatment tasks.

Note: You cannot stop a treatment if you did not complete a minimum of one task for the treatment. As an alternative, you can remove the treatment from the flowsheet.

To stop a treatment, do this procedure.

Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
Select the applicable patient card.
SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
Select the applicable treatment.
SmartFlow shows the treatment settings.
Select DISCONTINUE.
SmartFlow shows the Discontinue dialog box.
If necessary, use the Discontinue From box to select the date and time that you stopped the treatment.
Select Discontinue.

The treatment is stopped. The treatment tasks have a gray color and the flowsheet shows a line through the treatment name:

Note: If you add one more flowsheet with the same treatments, the added flowsheet does not show treatments that you stopped.
