If you want to invoice a client for one vial and dispense medication from the vial while the patient is admitted, a practice manager must make two parameters. One parameter syncs the invoice information to your practice information management system (PIMS). Staff can use the other parameter to record the medication that they dispense.

1. Select the user account button.
   
   SmartFlow shows more settings.
2. Select SETTINGS.
   
   SmartFlow shows the General screen.
3. In the TEMPLATES AND FORMS section, select Parameters.
   
   SmartFlow shows the Parameters screen.
4. Select ADD NEW.
   
   SmartFlow shows the Create new parameter dialog box.
5. In the Name box, enter the applicable name.
   
6. In the Default section, select Procedure.
7. Make sure that the billing setting is set to ON.
8. In the Picker type box, select Picker List.
   
   SmartFlow shows the Options box.
9. In the Options box, select the applicable parameter of a medication that is dispensed by the vial.
   
10. Do step 9 for all applicable medications that you dispense by the vial.
11. Select SAVE.
