About form properties
Use form properties to configure the information of a form. There are different types of form properties. It is important that you know about the different types of properties.
A new SmartFlow site always has default properties. SmartFlow can automatically sync the data of each default property from the patient information area of a flowsheet to the form. For example, if you made a consent form and the form has the Patient name property, SmartFlow automatically enters the patient name. As a result, it is not necessary for the client to manually enter the data.
Note: You cannot remove a default property.
This table shows the properties that you can use to automatically enter data, and the internal name of the property:

About property types
When you make a property, you can select the type of the property. The type controls how the form shows the property. The table that follows shows each property type and its function:

| Multi Line Text | Use the Multi Line Text property type to configure a form to show a box that a client can use to record information. If you select Multi Line Text, SmartFlow shows more settings: | |
| Flexible height | If you set Flexible height to Yes, the PDF output of the form does not show the lines that the client does not use. If you set Flexible height to No, the PDF output of the form shows each line. | |
