Add a bolus to a fluid treatment to accurately calculate the volume and infusion rate of the fluid.

1. Go to the whiteboard.
2. Select the applicable patient card.
   SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
3. Select the plus button that is adjacent to FLUID.
   
   SmartFlow shows the Add Fluid dialog box.
4. In the Name box, select the applicable fluid.
5. Select Add.
   SmartFlow shows settings for a fluid treatment.
6. Make the settings as necessary.
7. Select Press to add bolus.
   SmartFlow shows settings to add a bolus to a fluid treatment.
8. In the Start at (o'clock) box, enter the time that you want the bolus to occur.
9. In the Volume/kg box, enter the quantity of milliliters for the bolus.
10. In the Over period box, enter the quantity of time that you want the bolus to occur for.
    SmartFlow automatically enters the Total volume and Bolus rate.
11. Select Done.
