Methods to change many treatment tasks or workflow tasks in a flowsheet

SmartFlow has different methods that you can use to to change the treatments of a patient's flowsheet. For example, if emergency surgery for a patient is necessary, you can change all of their treatments.

To change many treatments of a flowsheet, use one these flowsheet buttons:
  • ADD WORKFLOW
  • ADD TREATMENTS
  • CHANGE TEMPLATE

This table gives each button and its function:

CHANGE TEMPLATESelect CHANGE TEMPLATE to add treatment tasks and workflow tasks to a patient's flowsheet.
Note: For example, a patient is in your clinic for general care. The patient's flowsheet has a set of treatments and workflow tasks for general care. Emergency surgery then becomes necessary for the patient. As a result, a staff member must stop the general care treatments and workflow tasks and start the emergency surgery treatments and workflow tasks.
Change all treatment tasks and workflow tasks of a flowsheet
ADD WORKFLOWSelect ADD WORKFLOW to add only workflow tasks to a patient's flowsheet.Not applicable
ADD TREATMENTSSelect ADD TREATMENTS to add only treatment tasks to a patient's flowsheet.
Note: For example, a has diabetes treatments recorded in their flowsheet. To keep the set of treatments but to add new treatments to the set, select ADD TREATMENTS, then select Add.

After you select one of the buttons, then select a new template, you can:
  • Select Add to keep the previous flowsheet tasks
  • Select Merge to keep applicable flowsheet tasks when the new template has the same task
  • Select Replace to remove the previous flowsheet tasks
