Change the rate of a fluid treatment

If a patient has a fluid treatment, you can identify that you changed the fluid rate in their flowsheet. As a result, the flowsheet clearly shows the changes to other staff.

This procedure is only applicable if you completed a fluid treatment task.

To change the rate, do this procedure.

Go to the whiteboard of the applicable patient.
Select the applicable patient card.
SmartFlow shows the patient's flowsheet.
Select Edit.
Select Editing mode.
Select the applicable fluid treatment.
SmartFlow shows the treatment settings.
Select D/C.
SmartFlow shows the Discontinue From dialog box.
Use the Discontinue From box to select the date and time that you changed the dose rate of the fluid treatment.
Select Discontinue.
SmartFlow stops the fluid treatment.
Select the plus button that is adjacent to FLUID.
SmartFlow shows your organization's fluid treatments.
Select the applicable fluid treatment.
SmartFlow shows the fluid treatment settings.
In the Maintenance rate box, enter the applicable value.
Make the other settings as necessary.
Select Done.
Select Exit editing mode.
