Medication invoicing: Quantity shown when you enter initials for a completed treatment

When you complete a medication treatment and enter your initials, SmartFlow uses the number from the Total dose box in the medication treatment settings to calculate the medication quantity as shown in the Billing report.

The medication quantity shown in the Billing report is a result of these steps:
  1. You set up the treatment and SmartFlow calculates a Total dose quantity.
  2. You complete a treatment and enter your initials.
  3. SmartFlow uses the total dose quantity from step 1 as the quantity shown for the applicable line item in the client's invoice.

You add a medication to a patient's flowsheet. SmartFlow uses the medication concentration, dosage, and patient weight to calculate a total dose of 1 ml.

The Total dose settings

When you do the medication treatment, you enter your initials in the patient's flowsheet.

Example of a completed treatment task

Because you entered your initials when you did the treatment, SmartFlow uses the number from the second Total dose box for the medication and shows it in the Billing report.
